We’re excited to share some big news with you all – we’ve just acquired two brand new Trak Machine Tools, and they’re already up and running! This investment is a significant step forward for Pioneer, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact it has on our manufacturing capabilities and customer satisfaction.
Let’s take a step back for a moment and reflect on our history with Trak Machine Tools. About five years ago, we took a chance and acquired the DPM RX5 Bed Mill, and it paid for itself within the first year. That’s right – it was such a game-changer for our operations that it practically paid for itself in no time. It’s no wonder that we’re now doubling down and investing in two more Trak machines.
So, let’s dive into these new machines. First up, we have the big brother of the DPM RX5 – the RX7. The RX7 is a beast of a machine; it has a larger work envelope, which means we can handle bigger parts and more complex projects. And let’s not forget about the advanced control software that makes programming and operating the machine even easier and more intuitive. The RX7 is truly a powerhouse, and we’re already seeing the benefits of having it in our shop.
The second machine we acquired is the TRL 2470RX lathe. This is our first full standalone “small” CNC lathe, and it’s a major upgrade from our aging fleet of manual lathes. With the TRL 2470RX, we can achieve tighter tolerances, improve surface finishes, and reduce cycle times through repeatability at the touch of a button. Plus, the advanced software and controls make programming and setup a breeze, even for complex parts. It’s a significant investment, but we know it will pay off in the long run.
