PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

“Personally Identifiable Information” means information that would allow someone to identify or contact you, such as your name, physical or electronic mail address, and telephone number; provided, however, that Personally Identifiable Information does not include aggregated information that, by itself, does not permit the identification of individual persons and does not include the Activity Information.
Through our Website, Pioneer will not collect any Personally Identifiable Information unless you voluntarily choose to provide us with it (e.g. by registration, survey, etc.), provide your consent, or unless otherwise permitted by applicable laws and regulations for the protection of your personal data.
PURPOSE OF USE
When you do provide us with personal data (Personally Identifiable Information), we usually use it to respond to your inquiry or provide you access to specific information or offers. Also, to support our customer relationship with you:

- we (or a third party on our behalf) may use personal data to contact you about a Pioneer offer in support of your business needs or to conduct online or telephone surveys to understand better our customers’ needs.
To clarify, Pioneer may share personal data with third parties, including affiliated firms and third parties performing services for or on behalf of Pioneer. Such services may include communications, database, event management, hosting, mailing, and marketing services. Additionally, Pioneer cannot fully ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties. For example, Pioneer may be legally obligated to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, third parties may circumvent Pioneer’s security measures to unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or an error may occur in the administration of the Pioneer Website. Removal of personal data (Personally Identifiable Information): Pioneer will use reasonable efforts to remove your personal data from our then current Pioneer site at any time upon your written request to us. However, such removal of personal data will not ensure the permanent removal of such personal data from the Pioneer site. For example, such personal data may remain in Pioneer’s archival or backup copies of the Pioneer site.
Pioneer will collect, use or disclose personal data supplied by you online only for the purposes disclosed to you, unless the disclosure:
- is a use of the personal data for any additional purpose that is directly related to the original purpose for which the personal data was collected,
- is necessary to prepare, negotiate and perform a contract with you,
- is required by law or the competent governmental or judicial authorities,
- is necessary to establish or preserve a legal claim or defense,
- is necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activities, such as willful attacks on Pioneer information technology systems.
COMMUNICATIONS OR UTILIZATION DATA
Through your use of telecommunications services to access our Website, your communications data (e.g. Internet Protocol address) or utilization data (e.g. information on the beginning, end and extent of each access, and information on the telecommunications services you accessed) are technically generated and could conceivably relate to personal data. To the extent that there is a compelling necessity, the collection, processing and use of your communications or utilization data will occur and will be performed in accordance with the applicable data privacy protection legal framework.

When you access our Website, we may automatically (i.e., not by registration) collect non-personal data (e.g. type of Internet browser and operating system used, domain name of the Website from which you came, your “IP” address, number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed). We may use this data to monitor the attractiveness of our Website, improve its performance or content and help Pioneer understand how our Website is being used, including the demographics and “clickstreams” of its visitors.
