We maintain a full time, in-house engineering department. It is headed
by a nationally respected engineer with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (earned from the University of Virginia).
His dissertation led to improved predictions of the characteristics of bearing films. In addition to his education,
he had 10 years of experience with Pacific Gas & Electric as a bearings and rotordynamics engineer.
At each of our plants, we offer a Technical Service Manager with over 30 years of specialized experience with fluid
film bearings. We have assisted customers in the field to determine the likely causes of bearing damage and have
performed technical services on site on three continents. From field inspections and minor repairs to consultation
and advice about bearing restoration, modifications and upgrades, we offer a complete range of after market bearing
technical services unmatched by any rebabbitting shop.

From environmentally controlled inspection rooms at both plants to the latest technology in CNC coordinate measuring
equipment, for each bearing we repair, we employ the same Q.A. program, procedures and equipment we use to
manufacture new bearings. We work pursuant to the most demanding and critical OEM designs and specifications, such
as bearings for 1,200MW nuclear powered steam turbines, or for Trident nuclear submarines.
